Hostal Don Juan I in Alcala de Henares is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. the staff was friendly and some spoke good English. the facilities were well-maintained, with daily cleaning and fresh towels provided. We especially appreciated the availability of an iron, which is often lacking in other places. the wifi worked perfectly and the AC unit in the room was a bonus. the breakfast offered excellent value for money at just €2.50. we highly recommend Hostal Don Juan I for a clean, spacious, and central stay in Alcala. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😔.

The location was perfect, just two streets away from the historic center and close to the train station. This made it easy for me to take the Cercania train to Madrid, avoiding the hassle of driving.
